PAKISTAN FLOODS
SEPTEMBER 2022
DISASTER RELIEF AND MEDICAL RESPONSE
In September 2022, 1/3 of Pakistan was under water following a series of severe monsoons that created intense flooding throughout the country. The result of the floods affected 33 million people – leaving them without food, shelter, power, water, and medical care.
In response, Aerial Recovery and partners at Global Empowerment Mission #bstrong deployed a team of humanitarian search and rescue professionals, medical first responders, and swift water rescue experts.
While the team was in country for 3 weeks, they were able to visit several remote villages that had not received aid in weeks following the flooding.
The team was able to distribute enough aid to feed 11,160 people for 2 weeks until the flood waters subsided enough for the locals to reach food and water supplies.
