HURRICANE IAN RELIEF MISSION – FLORIDA AND CUBA

FLORIDA RESPONSE
Aerial Recovery’s Special Operations Advanced Reconnaissance (SOAR) Team deployed to Florida on Sept 28th following category 4 Hurricane Ian’s landfall on the gulf side of the state. The team staged in the outer bands of Hurricane Ian to be postured to respond to the areas hit hardest as soon as possible following the storm.
They began conducting search and rescue operations, providing medical first response, transporting those in critical medical condition to nearby hospitals and distributing aid as soon as the winds died down enough for them to enter the aftermath of the storm. They arrived 7 hours before any other emergency responders.
Aerial Recovery and thier partners at Global Empowerment Mission #bstrong remained dedicated to provide search and rescue operations and distributing life-saving aid and as of Oct 6th 2022, had conducted over 258 Search and Rescue Missions, 197 Health and Welfare Checks, supported the evacuation of 65 vulnerable people, distributed aid to over 1,068 people and tarped 16 roofs.
CUBA RESPONSE
Aerial Recovery’s Special Operations Advanced Reconnaissance (SOAR) Team deployed to Cuba on Oct 3rd. Partnering with the Cuban Red Cross, Aerial Recovery’s team of medical experts transported medical supplies and medicines to the remote farming villages in the Pinar del Rio region, which had been severely impacted by Hurricane Ian. They were able to provide medicine to 27,129 people through their partnership with the Cuban Red Cross.
