In 2025, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) received 21.3 million CyberTipline reports of suspected child sexual exploitation. More than 53,000 reports were escalated as urgent or involving a child in imminent danger.

• More than 10% of reports submitted by technology companies lacked enough information for NCMEC to determine where the offense occurred.
Aerial Recovery supports the bipartisan STOP CSAM Act because reports must give the right people the information they need to take action, and children need protection and support beyond the moment of rescue.

The proposed STOP CSAM Act would strengthen CyberTipline reporting requirements, require greater transparency from large online providers, expand accountability and legal remedies, and increase support for child victims in federal court.
