Breaking: 1,500+ Survivors Freed from Forced Scamming Compound

We have wonderful news to share:  over 1,500 Human Trafficking survivors are now free!

Following a military raid in Myanmar, there brave people, trapped in a forced scamming compound, have escaped. They crossed the border into Mae Sot, Thailand. But their journey is far from over.

These survivors were trafficked under false pretenses, promised legitimate jobs, only to find themselves imprisoned in heavily guarded compounds. Once inside, they were forced to run online scams targeting victims around the world. Refusal meant torture. Escape attempts were met with brutal punishment.

The Myanmar military raid created a narrow window of opportunity, and over 1,500 people seized it. But freedom from the compound is only the first step.

Forced scamming compounds represent a growing form of human trafficking across Southeast Asia. Criminal organizations lure victims with job offers, then trap them in compounds where they're forced to operate online scams under threat of violence. These operations generate millions in illicit profits while destroying countless lives. This mass escape represents a massive blow to these criminal networks, and a chance at freedom for people who never thought they'd see it.

Aerial Recovery stands ready to support operations like this that dismantle trafficking networks and provide aftercare for survivors worldwide. From forced labor camps to sex trafficking rings, we deploy trained Humanitarian Special Operators alongside international law enforcement to save lives and stop evil.
