AID DISTRIBUTION AND CLEAN-UP

On Monday, July 8, 2024, Hurricane Beryl, a Category 1 storm, hit the Houston area of TX and took out power to over 2.2 M home and business owners, and downed trees and debris from the storm caused road closures and damage. Aerial Recovery responded by deploying a team of 4 veterans, 3 of which are part of the Heal the Heroes program and one volunteer. After meeting with local authorities, the team set up our operations center at the main emergency operations center in Lake Jackson, TX. Upon arrival, proper coordinations were made with local leadership and the team went to work. In 3 days, the team performed the following:

GEM Aid distributed to over 800 Lake Jackson families
14 families assisted with tree/debris removal to allow access in and out of their homes
16 Health and Wellness checks completed on elderly and families with young children
4 roofs tarped
6 homes assisted with moving personal belongings/removing debris from their homes
