BVI STRONGER

2019

THE IMPACT AFTER THE NEWS HAS MOVED ON

One of the biggest issues that we see with natural disasters is that immediately following the disaster, mainstream news channels move in to capture footage of the devastation to share with the world. In the case of BVI, news outlets covered the devastation left behind by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, but quickly moved on to the next popular story, leaving the world with the last images of BVI in their worst state.

In nations where tourism is one of their main economic pillars, such as BVI, it is critical that people understand that although the nation is hurting right now, they will rebuild and tourists will be able to vacation there again.

Our goal in 2019, after the immediate relief efforts took place was to continue to share the stories of the locals that experienced the storm, their current needs, and the real story that BVI will recover, stronger.
